The template loads external resources (fonts, analytics, CDN assets) without resource hints, causing unnecessary latency on first load.

Implementation:

  1. Add <link rel="preconnect"> for Google Fonts domains (fonts.googleapis.com, fonts.gstatic.com)
  2. Add <link rel="dns-prefetch"> for any third-party analytics or CDN domains configured in site config
  3. Add <link rel="preload" as="font"> for the primary web font file with crossorigin attribute
  4. Make domains configurable via site config array: performance.preconnect: string[]
  5. Generate the hint tags dynamically in the HTML head template
